Wild Wing Company LLC Will Continue to Operate Four Award-Winning Courses

December 16, 2005, Myrtle Beach, S.C. – Representatives from Wild Wing Company LLC, lead by Myrtle Beach businessman Lawton Benton, announced today their purchase of Wild Wing Plantation from Hyakumata & Co., Ltd., headquartered in Osaka, Japan.

Wild Wing Company LLC will continue to operate Wild Wing’s four acclaimed courses and retain all current employees.

Representatives from the Company call for immediate plans to include building relationships with local hotels to increase group and package play and working with other golf courses in the area to elevate the Myrtle Beach golf experience.

“I am extremely excited about the future of Wild Wing Plantation,” said Benton, managing partner of Wild Wing Company LLC. “The Wild Wing name is synonymous with quality golf and it is our mission to enhance and grow that awareness and perception to its fullest potential.”

Benton, a native of the Myrtle Beach area, is co-owner of C.L Benton and Sons, a general contracting company, and managing partner of Arrowhead Golf and Country Club in Myrtle Beach.
