Comments | The Fort Golf Club is named after the American
Revolutionary battle called "The Assault of Star Fort". The battle is also
called "The Siege of Ninety Six" where the nearby town of Ninety Six was
named after the nearest other fort 96 miles away - Fort Cherokee. The greens were recently redone (July 2002) with Champion Ultra Dwarf Bermuda grass and were in flawless condition. Actually these are the best greens this golfer (JW) has ever putted on. Golf here is a pleasant experience with nature since there are no crowds and no encroaching houses on the course. |
