The 2004 Shamrock Intercollegiate Invitational
The second annual Shamrock Collegiate Invitational Tournament for women golfers was held March 12,13, and 14, 2004 at Tega Cay Golf Club in Tega Cay, SC. Sixteen teams traveled here from as far as Texas and Pennslyvania. The Shamrock Invitational is a result of work by Ed Sehl, PGA Member and General Manager of Tega Cay Golf Club, Winthrop College in Rock Hill, the Shamrock Tournament Committee and many Tega Cay participating residents. | |

Sehl. “We believe within a
few years, this will be one of the best women’s tournaments in the
Southeast. This is where you
see the future superstars of the LPGA.” Sehl said. Bleachers were placed
on the first tee, 10th tee and finishing hole.
The tournament currently allows free admission for spectators and will be
held here again next year. For the complete story see pages for the runner
up team Eastern Tennessee State, the winning
