Jekyll Island Golf, a natural wonder

Jekyll Island is arguably one of the most beautiful of the islands strung along Georgia's coastline. Georgia's smallest barrier island at 5,700 acres, Jekyll Island offers a unique combination of rich history, unspoiled natural beauty and an impressive array of sports and recreational activities, such as birding, biking, kayaking, fishing, golfing, or just walking the historical sites are some of the activities tourists enjoy.

For many, its all about the golf, as all three of Jekyll Island's golf courses are ready to play.  Choose from Pine Lakes (renovated in 2002), Indian Mound (named after the oyster shell middens left by native peoples), or the popular Oleander (on the grounds of the 34th oldest course in the US).  In addition, you can easily reach other excellent courses nearby such as Oak Grove Island (20 minutes drive), Sapelo Hammock (45 minutes drive), and Sanctuary Cove (45 minutes south).  Jekyll Island can provide you with a vacation unlike any you've had before.
